Peterson Plus One!

We inadvertently made Megan laugh hysterically this afternoon. I was raising my arms over my head and when I dropped them she initially acted startled, but then began laughing uncontrollably. Fortunately, we were able to capture her first big laugh on camera. Hopefully this is the first of many more (I’m sure she’ll spend a lot more time laughing at her dad throughout her life).

We’ve been talking about buying a camcorder new for a few weeks, but we haven’t bitten the bullet yet. In the interim, we decided to shoot a few short videos on our regular camera. This is Megan smiling at daddy right before her Sunday bath (unfortunately, our camera can’t shoot more than 30 seconds, so it’s a short snippet). She’s already growing out of her little sink-tub and will be bathing in the big kids tub soon.

On a somewhat different note, Megan went to the pediatrician last week and got her first round of shots, which was no fun, but the good news is that she is still looking perfectly healthy (in the 95th percentile actually). She weighs 12 pounds and is 24 inches long – she’s growing like a weed! We’ve also graduated from the apnea monitor since she’s never had a legitimate alarm, so no more wires and buzzers.
