Catching Up…

Wow, it has been eons since we’ve made a post on this blog. Sorry for the delay!

Megan continues to grow into a strong little kiddo full of smiles and an easy disposition. We are amazed daily by the speed at which she learns new things. She’s now rolling over both ways, grabbing everything (and putting it in her mouth), sitting up (kinda – this one still needs some improvement), scooting all over as she tries to figure out crawling, and eating baby food. She’s a big fan of sweet potato and carrot flavor baby food, but apple sauce still elicits a gag or two.

We’re getting to a point where we want to film virtually everything and the little video setting on our photo-camera just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Not particularly interested in paying $700 for an HD camcorder, I bought a great little HD Flip (www.theflip.com). This thing is the coolest – it shoots HD footage, up to 2 hrs of filming time with no tapes of memory cards, built in USB and HDMI all for less that $200… but I digress… and I’m a nerd.

We’ve had the little camera for about a week now and shot a bit of Megan footage so I thought I’d put together a short little video montage for all to enjoy. You’ll see that Meg gets a kick out of mama’s fake cough, particularly when she’s eating her cereal. We also caught her first attempts at sitting on camera (while transfixed by football on the TV above her). The last little bit is her doing her Mister Ed impression. I think she’s communicating with us through her little stomping actions. You may notice that Tucker the dog appears very briefly in the film, so I felt compelled to list him in the ending credits. Oh, and note that Megan particularly enjoys the taste of her high chair.
